A Brief History
Hales Redden Chartered Accountants was first started in Rockdale, New South Wales by Mr L Hales & Mr K Redden (both now deceased) in 1950, as LN Hales & Co.

The business operated from our own premises at 24 Bay St Rockdale since the companies inception, until moving to our new premises at 386 Princes Highway, Rockdale NSW 2216.

Changing our name to Hales Redden Chartered Accountants in 1986, the business consisted of three partners, Mr Brian Gallie CA, Mr Paul de Maria CA and Mr James Heesh CA.

The current partners of Hales Redden & Partners consist of Mr James Heesh CA, Mr Gordon McKirdy FCA, Mr Robbie Bursic CA, Mr Andrew Douglas CA and Mr Scott Walker CA.

James Heesh CA

Director

James Heesh CA joined Hales Redden directly from leaving secondary school in 1981. James is a Bachelor of Business with credit, he is a Chartered Tax Advisor, Registered Tax Agent, Registered SMSF Auditor and External Examiner for the Law Society of NSW.

Gordon McKirdy FCA

Director

Gordon McKirdy FCA joined Hales Redden in 1994 from a large city based accountancy firm. Gordon has a Bachelor of Commerce degree, he is also a Registered Tax Agent, Chartered Tax Advisor, External Examiner for the Law Society of NSW and a Registered SMSF Auditor. Gordon was made a Fellow of CAANZ in recognition of his significant and distinguished service to the community, particularly surf lifesaving.

Robbie Bursic CA

Director

Robbie Bursic CA joined Hales Redden after completing his Bachelor of Business in 1995. Robbie has a wealth of knowledge and vast experience in the industry. Along with his Bachelor of Business Degree, Robbie is a Chartered Accountant, Registered Tax Agent, Chartered Tax Advisor and a Registered SMSF Auditor.

Andrew Douglas CA

Director

Andrew Douglas CA joined Hales Redden in 2000. Andrew has a wide variety of experience, and completed his Bachelor of Commerce majoring in accounting in 2005 from the University of Wollongong. Andrew is a Chartered Accountant, a Registered Tax Agent and is also seeking registration as a Company Auditor.

Scott Walker CA

Director

Scott Walker CA joined Hales Redden in 2006. Scott received a Bachelor of Commerce (with merit) majoring in accounting from Wollongong University in 1999. Scott is a Chartered Accountant and also a Registered Tax Agent.
